Tip 1. White chalk can soak up grease and oil if you manage to catch the oil splash while it is still wet!
Tip 2. Again, if the stain is still moist, grab some baking soda and sprinkle it liberally onto the oil splash to soak up the oil. Allow it to properly soak into the fabric before blotting excess oil and laundering as usual.
For older, stubborn, dried oil stains that have possibly even been through the wash cycle:
Step 1. Take a TINY amount of dish soap and rub it into the stain
Step 2. Mix some warm water and dish soap and take a teaspoon to drip the mixture onto the stain, rubbing it in with the back of the spoon
Step 3. Grab a clothes brush (or any brush with stiff bristles) and bash the stain as though you’re hammering a nail
Step 4. Take a small amount of laundry detergent on your finger and work it into the stain
Step 5. Wash and dry as usual!

In the same way that red wine only seems to appear when you’re wearing white, tomato sauce is a magnet for a crisp white cotton t-shirt. We have tried many stain removal ‘hacks’ over the years but this one is by far the most effective at removing tomato sauce stains from clothes.
Step 1. Now bear with us here! Dribble some dish soap onto the stain. Gab an ice cube from your freezer and work the dish soap into the stain with the ice cube
Step 2. Blot the stain with some white vinegar soaked into a clean cloth or kitchen towel
Step 3. Wash as usual!
How to remove lipstick from your clothing
